Disable Page Visibility API: Edge Add-On for Privacy
"Disable Page Visibility API" is an essential Edge add-on, primarily designed to protect your privacy. It inhibits websites, particularly video conferencing systems, from detecting if you are in their specific tab or interacting with a different window. Users can access the source code through Github for transparency. The add-on icon is based on 'Expand New Tab' by Syafiqa Fickle of the Noun Project under CC BY.

Handy extensions for annoying site behaviour like stopping playback or download timers when the tab loses focus. But beware it can break sites in subtle ways, like on vSphere it breaks renaming VMs. So recommend you use extension details and set 'Site access' to the specific sites instead of it being on by default everywhere.
