This works exactly as I need it to for my purposes: highlight text and get a word count from the right click menu. Perhaps I just got lucky but I haven't had any issues at all, so I am made to believe that whatever is happening in some of the old reviews has either been fixed or there are use cases that I am overlooking where the functionality would drop off. Regardless of any of that speculation, I like this extension and would recommend it to anyone looking to replace other word counting extensions that are no longer compatible with newer versions of chrome.

This does exactly what I need! The Word Counter Plus extension went down, and I needed a simple word counter that would allow me to highlight text, right-click, and see the word count for assignments I'm grading. This does just that - thank you!
