Decentraleyes is an add-on for Edge that focuses on preserving user privacy online. It works by blocking centralized 'free' content delivery networks, thereby preventing their tracking features from exploiting user data. Much of the web relies on these large third-parties to serve content. While blocking ads or trackers doesn't usually cause problems, blocking content networks can break web pages. Decentraleyes solves this by locally serving files, hence cutting out the middleman. It works seamlessly with regular content blockers like uBlock Origin and Adblock Plus, and requires no prior configuration. However, it should be noted that it is not an ultimate solution, but it reduces the amount of information you unknowingly share with content delivery networks.
