Local Media Player

Local media player lets you play your favorite media (be it video, music or audio) files without any third party software.

Local Media Player lets you seamlessly play a wide range of media file formats such as MP4, MKV, WEBM, OGG, MP3, and H.264 directly within your browser, eliminating the need for third-party applications like VLC or Windows Media Player. This lightweight extension is perfect for devices with limited storage or processing power.

Please note that some formats like AVI are not supported; you can easily convert unsupported files using free online or offline converters. Additionally, installing the extension changes your default search engine in the omnibox to a custom search powered by Bing, which you can revert anytime via Chrome settings.

This is simply a link to a webpage filled with ads and it does NOT play .mkv files. This should be removed.
