Text to Speech (TTS) is an Edge add-on that utilizes HTML5 TTS APIs to convert text into natural sounding speech. You can use it as a standalone tool or within web pages. It allows you to select text on a webpage and convert it to speech by clicking on the speaker icon that appears. You can also tailor the in-page text-to-speech settings as per your preference. Please note, the highlight feature is still in Beta and may not work perfectly on all websites.

PLEASE ADD SPEECH SPEED SELECTOR!!!
Simple and straightforward. Works most the time too.
Leaving 3 star because of missing important feature.

Works
weaknesses:
1) No way to change playback speed.
2) No way to pause recording when using keyboard activation, through extension button.
You can pause, but through another method.

Works as advertised, however different voices are available to choose yet you cannot change the main voice.
